NTC chicago

I am ADDICTED to this place!! They offer free classes...seriously FREE! Every Mon-Thurs at 6:30pm, yoga on Mon, NTC (their version of bootcamp) on Tues, barre on Wed, and WERQ (Thurs). They also have running clubs if that's more your style. The studio is brand spanking new so it's super clean and bright. Love that the classes overlook Michigan Ave. 45 minutes workouts will get your butt into shape. It amazes me that Nike offers these classes for free but then again, it is great advertising. I lost count of how many times I went out to buy a new outfit or shoes just because the instructor was sporting it. Also, classes do fill up quickly so be sure to sign up as soon as they open up which is exactly 1 week before each class.
I love this workout studio!! Not only can you get your exercise on 4 days-a-week (FOR FREE!) but when you forget your gym shoes, like I tend to do, you can try theirs on for a trial during the workout. They also provide mats, water, towels, and sometimes, kind bars. Also, guys shouldn't be intimated - a few shows up for the class. Make sure you sign up a week in advance to secure your spot! It would be helpful if they have a few changing areas though.
I was always pretty partial to Adidas. Mostly because I liked to think that it stood for “All day I dream about Seher.” Yes, I know that sounds conceited, but whatever, Nike has my heart now, mostly because thankfully due to their FREE fitness classes, I hopefully won’t be diagnosed with atherosclerosis. Come to me, fried chicken, mac & cheese, fats, and cholesterol. Yes, that’s right. FREE FITNESS CLASSES. NTC Lincoln Park offers about 6 fitness classes per day, every day, and you can sign up for up to 4 a week. This location offers everything from barre, yoga, Nike+run, and their signature NTC class. I’ve been to quite a few since moving to Chicago, and it’s my favorite thing to do Saturday and Sunday mornings (when I’m sober). The instructors are awesome, motivating, and are even trainers at gyms across Chicago. So you are basically getting a gym membership for free! Sadly, my favorite instructor, Nikki Metzger has left, but Lauren and Liu are also among my favorites. Also, no need to bring your own shoes since NTC lets you try out their Nike Trainers for the class!
I almost don't want to write this review as I feel the desire to keep this secret selfishly to myself. Two words: free classes You can sign up online which is awesome and they have a great variety. One of my favorites is actually the group run, which I didn't think I'd like, but now try and make every week. If you are in the area I definitely recommend it. The Michigan Ave. store also has a run club on Thursday nights, I believe.
This place is amazing. From the most up to date Nike apparel to the complimentary classes ranging from barre to yoga instructed by enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainers, this place provides an opportunity to get fit while looking cute.
