Going off of a previous review...YES BUYER BEWARE!!!! Granted the program is awesome, instructors are great and I absolutely LOVED it, when I hit a financial hardship and had to close my bank acct I assumed that that was it when it came to cancelling. I had no further intentions of paying for something I couldn't afford. However, I later found out that I still had to pay that month due to me not giving a 30 day notice. I understand that there is a policy and they have to uphold that. So I sucked it up and paid what I owed (159) and considered it as my responsibility to do so. Now, here’s the tricky part. Since I paid it after the 30 day timeframe I still had ANOTHER balance that I was now responsible for. According to "Tyler" he was going to talk with his billing department to have this resolved. He got back with me on a VM (that I still have) stating that he got the balance cleared with his billing department and to make sure to come in to fill out my 30 day cancellation. I now live in South Phoenix and was actually attending the Ahwatukee location for a while (which is awesome) and told the lady whom I called, I believe her name to be Stacy, and told her if she could email me the form. She said that they don't have the capability to do that and that I need to come in person. I also asked to fax or mail it to me. Those options were not options to them and I had to sign in person. So I went, signed it and guess what appears on my cc bill (that I told them to take off file) my remaining balance of 159$! I'm furious for obvious reasons. I then called the center and tried to see if I can at least use some classes for the money that I ended up paying and I was told that with this last payment (unbeknownst to me) that I have until the 28th to use my membership. Basically it’s out of their hands. Just understand the policy when it comes to your “membership” it’s not only pricey but tricky getting out of. I paid a lot of money for a whole lot of frustration. Horrible empathy towards their clients!!!!
BUYER BEWARE – Be very careful when signing any agreement with this Orange Theory Location in Scottsdale on Mayo. Their billing practices are shady at best. If you sign up for a monthly program, they make it very hard to cancel and will try to ding your even after you cancel your membership. I got a few pulls in class, no fault of the instructors, I am just out of shape. But when I tried to cancel my monthly membership, they make you come in to the location and will not do it over the phone. They then make you sign a paper, and in ultra tiny print, it says that it will not take effect for 30 days. They then ding you for the entire month. Real nice. These types of nefarious billing practices are simply designed to steal from customers. They say you can of course continue to use the membership for the remaining 30 days, which is a moot point if you cannot train there anymore because of an injury. That said, I hope this helps any unsuspecting folks. If you are going to take classes there, don’t let them do an auto-debit. They will make it tricky to get out. In a time where business are trying to get more members, you would think they would be more respectful of your hard earned dollars. The Scottsdale Orange Theory Location does not. In fact, they seemed to pride themselves on the shady policy. Odd.
