Escape Route

This is a decent shop with a cool selection. Unfortunately one time the manager accused me and my GF of trying to steal a rock climbing guidebook right after we had purchased it and were leaving the store. We were not impressed.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are what you would expect for any store in Whistler but the staff have been overly accommodating every time I have needed it. Definitely the place to go for backcountry, climbing, and technical gear in Whistler.
Nice place to shop, a little overpriced but when I had to return something for warranty the Manager treated me like a criminal no matter how right or nice I was. Came to her own conclusion and ignored the reality of the situation. Not a nice experience at all, don't think I'll be back or send anyone there again.
I ordered a set of $600 dynafit bindings from Escape Route online in November 2009. They sent me the wrong size brakes twice, and took several days to respond to my repeated emails and phone calls. It's mid January, I don't have the product that I ordered, and I have no idea if or when it will come because I can't get ahold of them. BOTTOM LINE: Don't expect good service from the online store.
