The abs machine is the only one like it in major clubs I have found out. You can get the most benefit out of this device compared to the other abs machine most clubs have. On the abs machine here you kneel on the platform and pull the handle bars. I tried it on the tour and felt immediate improvement after just 3 reps. Also I like that the fitness instruction is all on videos. Various classes run all day so it is very convenient and you don't feel like you'll be judged by instructors. The prices are more affordable than anything else available and the color scheme is ok to deal with.
No real barbell power racks, major downside if you are a real lifter. 90% of their weight equipment is just cables and smith machines so everything feels like more of a pampering than a workout. The darkroom for cardio was a cool experience which makes you focus more; i think the dark room experience makes you work a little harder to be honest. I am personally not much of a runner at all, so i feel extremely short changed with no squat racks and have to go at odd hours just to get a pair of dumbbells. Have been to much better gyms for the price, have been to slightly worse gyms; i give this one an "on the fence" meh rating at best. It's packed and just doesn't feel like a real gym at all, more like a weekend warrior hangout. If you are a cardio nut or newbie, by all means go for it. weight lifting veterans however should keep walking.
have you changed your tv provider, as i can not find the golf channel, is it still time warner ? you need more fixers of equipment and fewer trainers.
Been a member for 2 years (Planet Fitness) and I've been going every day for months and just canceled my membership because of the rude staff. Just couldn't take it anymore! I'd rather pay more and work out elsewhere, and pay separately for tanning than put up with condescending, unhelpful staff.
Good clean place to work out, only if it was 24 hours 7 days a week.
